Update on NTS

I am now going with the idea of the setting up of the NTS, in which I will be making a small publication as the over idea seemed to have some crappy ideas with it and this seems more original, Ive also changed the colour of the logo so its the same colour as tea, what Ive also done is come up with some different ideas in how tea will help save or not help you.
Ive been watching and reading up on how tea effects you, appently black tea makes you more calm and of course having tea with milk with in it makes it better for your bones, I would like to intereact the real with really funny jokes with in this and try to make it look semi professional, Ill also be trying to get this printed by professionals depending on prices.

British flag

Ive come up with a demo for my group tutorial on friday.

This is the idea that tea can solve everything and in the back ground the British flag has been zoomed in a lot to show off its great shapes that have with in it and will help with every page to have this great background. The drawings as well really seem to fit in really nicely with the colours as well, one thing I will change is the way Ive done the tex and make sure the steps are grouped together to make it clearer.

NTS

Since ive been on my own ive decided to work on what I want to influence for the future and how I can benefit them in anyway that I can, and the man theme that Im sticking with is the way British people have so many problems, and as it stands I either want to make a publication on how to shove this problems in which it would help you to get past this problems, or set up the NTS.

Really enjoyed making the logo, its taking the piss out of NHS and instead its the National Tea Service in which its like paramedics of the future wont have to go to some calls because most problems as discussed in very British problems, that tea can solve everything.

On my own

Ive decided to go on my own and see what Ive learnt from the groups that Ive been in and make it my own.
Things I feel Ive leant:

• Better people skills
• more Photoshop skills
• understanding for graphics
• being more of a leader
• theirs more to drawing than what I do
• groups are alright

New groups final outcome

We ended up making a suit in which you try to survive the world in which you live in and we all have had our own ideas in which we have made different things for, I have made the waterproff anything device, in which if you plug this into anything or eat anything with it will water proof it so its all good again.
Good thing about this thing ive made is the idea but the rather bad thing is the way ive made it, but its all about trying things out and if they dont work then we leanr from the last time, so next time i try maing something with plastic i wont be using superglue for sure.
Overall the suit was great and we all chiped in to make it which was great and was a really nice day in the end.

Mid term review on how things are going

Things are going well and its getting closer to when I get to go see abrham games oraginal piece of work cant wait to see that, after the lecture his daughter gave to us she said a small gorup of students could come and visit her house with his work in it, and fortantly for me their was only a few members with in the lecture. heres some of his work that hopefully I may get to see.

It will be great to see what his workings out are like upfront and personal and its always nice to find a new artist even if the artist you have find has unforantly passed away. 

Along side that uni has been great I loved the last project and im still loveing the primer work with have been set with over the last month or so, lookign forward to getting back now.

Circle group week/analysis on things as it stands

Lookign back on our first project together in all seriousness I think we worked very well as a group my group all get along very well and we have found it really easy to understand each overs way of thinking and way of making. Our idea was simple and it was to create an activity in which the members of the public would came and firstly draw a circle in which how big you feel you community is as it stands today, then you plant a seed either tomato or strawberry its up to you which one you pick, then you draw your circle again and with what you have done how do you feel it has changed you community. When the first guy from the public did it we was rather shocked, we found that what he did was made his community circle really big, and at first we thought we maybe didn't understand and we sorta judged him to have a rather small community in which nothing happens has it is of todays modern living, then the next circle he did was really small, then when got together we understood what he meant, the bigger circle was to represent how not close we are anymore, and when he feed the plants water he felt it was bigger again there for showing us a smaller circle. It was a real eye opener in how people see the world and how not to judge as well.

unfortantly we now have to make new groups but it isn't all bad im with my two good friends nat and fion, it was a shame to leave the circle group as it was as I feel we could have kept going in our small but great group.

CIrcle group final outcome of week 2

We did it, it was a great activity and heres the idea and images.
The idea behind this week was that food should be free to all no mater how much you earn a year, so our idea/plan was that the way the government do this is by handing out seeds to everyone who owns our new app called fruitmap. From there people with the app would get the seeds and then plant the seeds around london and since this was a kickstarter activeity what we did was asked the public to pick a seed they want to grow an deplaned around london out of this list, Strawberrys,corn, carrots and peas. From there you would places your sticker depending on what fruit/veg you choose and place it on our map of london. It was a great success and everyone seemed to love it, one thing I wuld change how ever would be the organizion of our thing as we was bit backward sometimes but its to expected when its in a very loud room as well.

Overall it was great day and would love to keep working with this guys as the weeks go by.

Week 2 circle group/2060

Week 2 with circle group, this week has been a bit harder than last we as we seem to be stuck with ideas that arent flowing very well together, what is good though is that we will get somewhere its just had simply because we did something based on food from last week so its hard not tot stick to the same ideas.

Our final piece from fridays event in which it was themed to be all about our community and here is what we did.

So we have been asked to go into groups but we dont choose the groups what we do is answer a series of questons and depending if we r positive about the future or not then it depends what group we will be in, I was sort of positive and now I have my group, after seeing each over today we already have our name of our group which is called THE CIRCLE and we are already thinking about what to do for our first event on friday. At the moment we are thinking about smething to do with plants and I will be soon putting down our ideas together as a group to understand each over better as well.

Primer tasks for 2060

Here are some of my primer task that Ive completed for this project so far, and underneath each one will be one of my thrases that I made up for the primer task its self.

Teen hairs keep rising.

What I like about what I done here is that ive used different techniques in every one of my primer tasks and hopefully it fits in which the subject mater but If not then its simply a learning curve.

Start off with we have the teen hair rasing idea, in which I felt the best way to show this was to in fact have one of on directions hair keep going up and down, I leanrt a new skill out of this and that is the art of making simple gifs. It was really easy to learn and it seems to have worked rather effectively for me.

Dollar and won money, I think whats best about this image is the fact I made the dollar and the won sign go together and if its true it makes for a certainly scary future which is whats great about this sort of task you just never know what could happen.

Last image is of the Iphone 26, I just thought Id play around with different ideas with this sketch and see where it might end up, you never know I might end up making it for my final piece.

Be your shelf final

Today was the final event and I have been very sucessfull in what Ive done and have sold all my packets and all my booklets here are the final outcomes and pictures from today.

So s you can see I went for the very professinal look even though my booklet was completely the opposite way round, I also made a box say I could have my packs and my booklets to sell to the public very easily, I also managed in the end to make £27 and sold all my packs but not all my books with only 2 left, I feel like this has been a great day in terms of money but it was also a great day for the whole year as we all got together and made what I would call a great show, it should have been called be our shelf in stead.

So now anaylisying the booklet and packets them self.

I feel that my booklet was a great Idea and heres what I loved about it.

• Colours - colour cordated very well ( red and yellow feem).
• Money saving idea- Idea behind the whole book its self.
• Imagery done well- drawing techniques worked with the booklet as I drew so it would be clear for small-scale paper such as smaller than A6.
• Dress code- Loved the suit.
• Peoples feedback- peoples feedback on the idea was great, some even said send it to downing street.
• Flow of pages- Liked how I made every over page different from the next so it wouldn't get boring, for example their would never be a do printed on both set of pages it would always be do and dont.

Things I wish I could change.

• Way it was made- If I had more time that I did I would of got it made more professionaly and maybe even have takern it to a print shop.
• Photoshop- Some of the images are a bit wonky in places but will fix that if I was to make it again.
• Handwriteing- I wish I used font on the computer instead of my handwriting, although it does sort of add tot he effect of making it in a basement look.
• More time- As peer every project I wish there was more hours in the day to have made this alot better than it was.

overall though I really feel like this is what I want to do alot more than i do  already and would be fantastic If i can take what ive learnt from this project and maybe hopefully take it into the next one. 

Be your shelf outcome comong together

My outcome for be your shelf as it is now called is coming along rather well Ive already done half my booklet drawings and have made my banner/signpost that I will be holding up alongside me as I sell at the event.
Heres a finished page from the booklet already.

I like the idea of having a different colour for every page as it will hopefully make the pages seem more alive as the reader goes on to read, I also like the way in which Ive lade out the page having the title at the top and then the total at the bottom of how much you save altogether.
What i may change as I go on depending on time is the way Im writing it as I may instead use font on the computer instead of using my handwriting,although it looks like Ive made it like as I go which is sort of the idea of this as it will be saving money I guess.

After asking a few of my friends at uni about this typeface they seem to love ti and want me to keep it as handwriting as it looks like " its made in your basement" which is the look I want to go for.

Be your shelf, half way

So far ive just got right stuck in with this project and good for the idea of having a booklet of some sort at this event with a small pack along side it to help understand the work more and to help Britain in effect save millions (hopefully).
So ive started off with my logo and hopefully soon my idea with also come to life and how I want to show off my work.

At the moment Im my plan is to have my self standing up with a baner like this image and then having my self with a tray and selling my stuff from there to the public.

And as ive said its a very sort project and I think at this stage i need to jump into and just go with the flow of work thats coming from it.

devlopment on be your self

SO this is the first week of be your self and we have started things off with looking at each overs primers and trying to find the right words to fit with each over person, I got many funny and humour words alongside some weird ones that I feel don't make sense to much. But the general understanding of everyone was that my work was funny which is good and thats what I want to focus on. We now have a week or two to draw everyday and have a thought of the day relating to our work and the way in which we want to show off our work if that makes any sense.

be your self so far

So far I have been working on the stupid rob bragg records, in which its basically alot of silly/stupid pieces of work in which I found my self doing everyday for the task we where set for this breif, at the moment I have tryed to stick my tongue under my uvila and also seeing how long I can keep my foot out of a window, the window I had success with and have had my foot out for 5-10 misn now, and m =y tongue I can only mnage 10 seconds with, another thing ive been doing it working out loas of weird savings for brtain such as if you didn't put numebrs on the reecpts you get from shops you would save over 50 millon a year, I know it sounds crazy but i did the rob bragg math, I like both ideas and since my tutorial now Im a bi stuck on which one to choose and just go for it really.
My mind at the moment in more swinging towards the idea of saving Britain billions but I will see how it goes.

Update on comic

Ive change the panels by making the ones in the middle the same width and also putting one around the title page at the start of it all.

Final Comic?

Ive now got to a stage where I've got 4 comic strips and have completed them and here they are.

These are my final piece's I have been working on for the last 2 weeks I feel that the drawings and images are really strong and work really well and the sun and moon work well which is really good with my style and im really glade Ive chosen to do my work in this format and also a comic strip, now one thign that the people said in my group crit was that of the paneling which is really annoying me now and which I will be sorting out as soon as Ive finished this blog post and that was the fact that the middle ones are bigger which doesn't make sense but did when i first did it, and also the top piece isn't put around a border like the rest which I have no idea why I didn't do this at the start but will be doing so from now, also another thing was it seemed like the moon could be pluto so maybe my whole idea for this is a bit of a shame but this have defeltly helped me learn in the sense that I need to spend more time on charactsing and researching into what will make sense to over people.

Half way though the compation project

I've chosen to go with the idea of the sun and moon relation ship between each over and how they can get together, now Ive tryed to get a 4 page comic out of this story but have just got one joke out of it which is really not me so my tutor has said that I can 4 page do a comic strip which means 4 comic strips which will work a lot better for my work and experimentation.

Compation

So are new breif is to enter a compation out of the list they have given us and in which I have chosen to do the comica comic compeation which is to make a short 4 page story about anything as long as its original and is 4 pages, at the moment I have come up with 5 ideas and here they are.
1.
First idea is called battle of tommorw's lunch which is about all the good food and bad food fighting to be this guys lunch for tommorw.
2.
second story is all about the long distance relationship between the sun and the moon and hwo they get together.
3.
Uptown is all about two worlds that never see each over but always help each over out in small ways.
4.
Fourth idea is you are what you which is about you turning into what you eat and this is such a silly idea because even if you eat all the right food you turn out being that to haha.
5.
This idea is the sillyest its about what my head of year said on my first day which is the year of mistakes in which its me making loads of mistakes and then Geoff my head of year saying dont worry year of mistakes.
