Update on jays work.

Ive changed the colour of the piss and ive also change the colour of the whole image by making it a lot darker instead of brighter and colourful and ive also really simply change the colour of the piss by making it more of a golden yellow.

Jays Final.

After working on the man pissing in peckham I have finally come to a conclusion on the project its self and come up with the final outcome.

With this project Ive learnt all about putting reflection into an image and that is you have to basically flip the image if its looking into the reflection which is a rather nice thing to have learnt and will come to help with works later on in my carrer i feel, now when looking at this image i feel that I have done rather well with getting my message across that peckham is a piss hole and Ive done so by showing that this is peckham with the guys newspaper saying peckham news which shows location and then putting peckham into the reflection is really funny and show the fact its a piece hole. The one thing that everyon said to change is the colour of the piss really and maybe make it a lot more dirter which can be easily done in Photoshop which is what ill do now.

Random strip comic

thought id just try to experiment with comic strips a little bit and with this idea its about the first ever selfie and i did this by drawing a caveman and having him get a selfie by smacking himself round the face with a large rock which would then create a image being the first ever selfie, i feel this is helping me look into the world of comic strips and explore different ways with in this.

Comic club final

This is my final piece of my comic club comic that i am submitting to complete my comic collection piece.

So what ive done is change the direction in which the comic is being read and then added the fact that theres no panels at all which makes the comic pop out alot more and seems to work alot better with the drawings them selfs.

Jays final pieceish

When looking back on the location work ive done for this project I saw one image in particular that really made sense for peckham as a whole and I felt when i went there and that is the man pissing in peckham I felt this sumed up the place rather well as I felt it was just like a bit of a piss hole in the sense that it was really busy all the time and in places it was rather grim and even a man pissing in the corner that no one seems to mind much. So Im choosing to go down the path of this man being the centure of attention in my final piece and explore ways in which to show off peckham in the way  I want to.

Start of jays project

So the primer for jays project is all about finding a place in london and going there for about a day or two and drawing everything around there and really try and get an atmosphere of the place, and so I picked the hell that is peckham and here are a few drawings that i have done on location for it.

this is a great way of working Ive gone back to my sketch book which I find when doing location drawing a lot easier and the way jay has told us to go with this project is really weird but works and really helps, such as getting a colour swatch for the local area it really helps understand the area in which im in and also finding a object and filling it with as many whales that you can, it not only lets you understand prosecption but it helps me characterise the work alot easier and makes my work even better I feel.

Lukes 2nd editorial image

For this weeks article luke has chosen surfing and how it should be an Olympic sport. going into this I really found the article interesting and to why surfing should be in the Olympics rases loads of questions and different ideas into the sport which is great to see, moving on with this i once again choose a sentence to work from an reference from and that was "If we build all the stadiums and no one shows up it will be an embasement to the sport and to the Olympics" with this i got to work on making a few drafts once again to send to luke. This way of working really helps me as i get all my ideas out of the way in the first few hours of working on the idea and then i can move on alot easier and make my final drawing look the best in can be and I feel I may do this in the future to better my work.

What I love about drafts is that you dont have to have the finished piece of the work to get across what your trying to say, with the first one i focused on the fact that you shouldn't care about the Olympic gold but instead think of the sport and with this I showed the gold medal on the side of the beach and the surfer riding of into the sunset, this was a good idea but it seems my drawing and humour wasn't going to show in this as strongly as the second image which was about the surfer turning up but the crowds not and i showed this by having the Olympic rings colours into a deck chair showing the olympics but not even everyone showing up, and then having the surfer look angry and upset, this was working but as luke said in his feed back the surfer needs to be doing something elkse as it isn't greatly clear as of what his doing and with the deck chairs i felt i had to make them completely empty to be able to show off that no one will turn up.

So with my reflection on this I went a head and started working on the final piece and I felt i may have done a very good job on.

So the things Ive added and taken out are the the fact that no one is actually in the chairs i find this is much more humours than the original draft and I"ve also added the tumbal weed which makes it alot funny in fact that no one has actually turned up and to finsh it off I made the surfer actually sit down instead of standing up and surf in away he actually isn't doing anything wic the adds another level to it, now the bad things i feel is that I might not have really taken the best subject mater from this article to show it off completetly but then again i feel it is a stand alone strong image which is good to see with my work and that its getting stronger.

Comic club

we have decided to make a colective comic all togather based on the theme hidderen magic ive been working on this idea that starts off in this gun factory and then turns out a man doesn't put the finishing piece into the gun and which means that people cant use it there for people cant kill there for hidden magic is born, here is my draft.

People at comic club really enjoyed my take on hidden magic and thought drawings worked well, how ever some things i do need to change in this, first of all the drawings need to be scaned in better resolution which can be easily fixed no problem, also the first page of panels need to go from left to right instead of right to left, this ha really helped me figure out comics with just one simple mistake and hopefully the next time I do a comic Ill be able to put this into pratice.

Lukes first image editorial

This is my first week on lukes project and what we have been looking at is a article piece in the paper all about what the government is trying to cover up the act of squatting as homeless people. When we first got started with this project we had to read the article over and over again until we wanted to take something from it and illustrate it, with this I then picked a short sentence which was " The government are trying to paint squatting as a lifestyle not something that happens to happen to you" with this i got to work on creating three images which would become my draft to send to to uke to review the piece as it is. here are my drafts.

When I sent them to luke he gave me great advice in that the 3rd image could be funny if i worked on it more but with the over strong image at the top he felt like that would show off my style more, and i completely agree what i tryed to do in the 3rd image was cross out a pig to try get a laugh out of it but didn't make sense as why would the government paint something they didn't want, moving on from that luke said my 2nd image was to simple and didn't work which makes sense as iut was a sort of back up drawing if anything, the 1st image was the best but luke stright away said that really the government would want to be more modern than that of using the canvas and paint and maybe would try to use mordern art in a way, soI got to work researched loads of artist and one stound out from the rest and that was andy Warhol. I was really trying to get the image of david cameron completely correct and make sure i got his face completely dead on which i feel like i did and then adding andy into was easy but it also felt like steve jobs at the same time, so the image needed something so i added the famous tin can that andy Warhol painted back in the 70's and is really what made him famous if anything.

Adding the can made the image just so much better and at this point i was happy to take it in and show luke, when i printed it how ever it came out to be a bit grey in some places which I am now in the process of trying to fix. over than that i feel like this has been my best project yet and really feel at home with my work when it comes to editorial as i feel ic an use my humour in such a easy and fortful maner.

Lukes mid project

First project is all about the first news article is all about homeless people and the way the government is really doing nothing about it so at the moment, and when I was drawing david cameron as he can represent the government and then in the article they mentioned that the government tryed to paint squtters as homeless people when really its actually the government muck them up really. So atm the moment im looking into my drawing and how I can characterise david cameron at the moment.

The primer for lukes project at the start is to make a few parterns so Ive made a few out of just normal indan ink and paper to get a few different fells to the start of this project.

After Tutorial of group talk

Everyone seemed to really like my video and everyone got what I was trying to get across.

good:

• Message got across well
• Images mate sense
• likes the music
• The way the images are timed
• Pictures of the men

Bad:

• and the Watermarks in some images

Over than the two and things my video went down a real treat with only small things to change which is really good news and am really happy with since Ive put a lot of time into this video and am proud to be able to only have a few things to have to do.

Final piece for georges project

I been working really hard to try and get to a point in which Im happy with this and I want to upload my draft video before I go into my presentation of my video to my fellow class mates and hopefully see what I can change if i need to that is.

tester of primer and experiments

So Ive been going out and about to get video clips to see what will work best and at the moment im just working with just simple life moments such as parks and working with just video instead of images just incase.

Half way though george's project

So im half way though the film project and I have been making my film with sucsess at the moment I am working towards the idea of life and memories with out phones and at the moment Im wondering how to illustrate this with video.
Option A.

This image is just with the blured image but i feel that it might not show off that life with out phone but it does show how it blurs memories in life.









Option B.

This option is good it adds the first option and this option of putting the phone over the top of the image together which i feel seems to work Bu ti will have to see with ym class mates weather this works or not.










Option C.

option c is just a image with out it being blured and just the phone image just to test it but i feel that option b is just a lot better than then rest so I will try with this in the video and go from there.

Preimer for georges project

My preimer for the next project has told me to pick a a fact or a piece of information that I could work on and a archive of things i can work from such as video clips, pictures and so on.

My fact that ive chosen to work from is;

On average we spend 90 minutes a day

on our smartphones, and that adds up to

27 days a year which then adds up to

4 years of our lifes.

When I read this I was really shocked and so went and found some pictures of maybe people using there phones and just general pictures of phones being used.

One thing Ive noticed that Ive done with out really thinking is that Ive found images of people being anti social,a nd i think Ill go with this sort of frame of mind as i continue the project as I have clearly thought of this with out thinking of it in a way. So Ive also found some inspirational pieces of art related to this project that will hopefully help me out.

I found these images really humous and has a really nice take on the way we really do use our phones way to much and is a sort of wake up sign really.

After seeing these imagery I went ahead a did a quick drawing of my intake on this mater.

What Ive done here is drawn loads of people in a circle almost and they represent society and they are all on there phones and are all connected with this "wire" like image and then its shows one of them breaking off into freedom as you will and with a happy face on him.
